This document explains content and functionality in the latest iPad/iPhone app released May 2013.

Changes in 3.1.3:
-	App Title edit (previously Muscle Premium 2)
-	Nerves and ligaments added
-	Pronunciations added

Changes in previous release (September 2012):
-	Quizzing feature added
-	App Title Edit (previously 3D Muscle Premium 2)

== These notes describe the contents in each section of the app ==

This app includes:
+ Over 600 3D anatomical structures of muscles and 200+ 3D anatomical structures of bones and ligaments.
+ Over 500 3D anatomical structures of the peripheral nervous system.
+ Definitions and pronunciations for all structures.
+ Quizzes for the muscles.
+ 2,000 pins that reveal origin and insertions and a painted skeleton that shows surface areas of muscle attachments
to bone.
+ Hundreds of moving muscles organized into 58 action Views.

The following document details how this content is organized.

MUSCLE ATTACHMENTS: Study origins and insertions and attachment areas
This section offers a specific 3D interactive view for each muscle. These views include (1) the muscle with surrounding skeleton (2) pins that mark the origin and insertion points for each muscle (2) An optional painted skeleton that reveals the surface area of attachment.

There are also views that show each muscle within its regional or/and functional group.

All these views feature extensive interactive functionality including the ability to get more information about the
structures on screen (definition, pronunciation, origin and insertion pins, and bone landmarks, and related muscle
actions), and the ability to edit the View (by adding/removing/fading structures, zooming/rotating, annotating or
screen capturing the View). The Views in this section are organized by region and/or function as follows. 1. Head Eye Expression Mouth Expression Nose Expression Scalp Expression Extraocular eye movement Tongue Deep mastication Superficial mastication 2. These action Views play
actions such as rotation, abduction/adduction, and protraction/retraction. The views include the muscles and bones
involved in the action, and supporting muscles and bones. All these views feature extensive interactive functionality including the ability to get more information about the
structures on screen (name, definition & pronunciation for each structure in View and an info button that describes
muscles in the action) and the ability to view the action from four preset views or from various other perspectives
(by using the zoom, rotate, and pan functionality). The action Views in this section are organized by region and/or function as follows. Head rotation (contralateral) Head rotation (ipsilateral) Mandible depression Mandible elevation Mandible protraction Mandible retraction Neck/head extension Neck/head flexion Neck/head lateral flexion Elbow extension Elbow flexion Scapula abduction Scapula adduction Scapula depression Scapula downward rotation Scapula elevation Scapula upward rotation Shoulder abduction Shoulder adduction (coming soon) Shoulder extension Shoulder flexion Shoulder horizontal abduction Shoulder horizontal adduction Shoulder lateral rotation Shoulder medial rotation Spine extension Spine flexion Spine lateral flexion Spine rotation Ribs depression Ribs elevation Forearm pronation Forearm supination Hand digits 2-5 extension Hand digits 2-5 flexion Hand digits opposition Thumb extension Thumb flexion Wrist abduction Wrist adduction Wrist extension Wrist flexion Hip abduction Hip adduction Hip extension Hip flexion Hip medial rotation Hip lateral rotation (coming soon) Dorsiflexion Foot digits flexion Foot digits extension Foot eversion Foot inversion Knee extension Knee flexion Knee lateral rotation Knee medial rotation Plantarflexion MUSCLE ATTACHMENTS AND ACTIONS: Study all content together The Muscle Attachments and Actions section takes all the views in the two sections above (the Muscle Actions section
and the Muscle Attachments section) and organizes them into one menu, allowing a user to access a menu that all
available preset content for each muscle. The organization of body regions and groups is the same as in the Muscle Attachments section. REGION VIEWS: View the multiple muscles in each body region The Region Views section contains a regional listing of 3D interactive views of major muscle groups. All these views
feature extensive interactive functionality including the ability to get more information about the structures on
screen (definition, pronunciation, origin and insertion pins, and bone landmarks, and related muscle actions), and the
ability to edit the View (by adding/removing/fading structures, zooming/rotating, annotating or screen capturing the
View). The Views in this section are organized by region and group as follows. 1. Head Head region Head Expression Mastication 2. Neck Neck region Anterior neck Posterior neck Laryngeal region 3.
