Human Anatomy Atlas 2022 now includes tons of new content and new ways to see deep inside the human body: More gross anatomy, microanatomy, and organ tissue models!

• Explore the layers of the heart wall
• Analyze the components of skeletal muscle
• Understand the fascia and septa that define the muscle compartments of the upper and lower limbs
• See inside the longest bone in the human body—learn the structures and blood supply of the femur
• Study the osteon, the main structural unit of compact bone
• Dig into hepatic lobules, the microscopic functional building block of the liver
• Examine enhanced gross anatomy of the male and female circulatory system

2021.1 (July 27, 2020)

• Introducing Visible Body User Accounts! With your VB User Account, you can:
  • Save and share all your newly created custom interactive content!
  • Make 3D Views and Tours that include tags, 3D drawings, and notes, and edit them whenever you want.
  • Share your 3D views with other Atlas 2021.1 users.
• Note: Visible Body accounts have replaced iCloud in Human Anatomy Atlas 2021.1 or later.

• Set definitions text to read at larger or smaller sizes! Access the settings menu and choose your preferred text size.
• Dive deeper and move from gross anatomy to micro anatomy and back! We’ve linked even more Related Content to help maximize your learning experience.

• Easily move between recently visited views using the Back and Forward buttons.

2020.0 (July 31, 2019)

• The male and female gross anatomy models have over a hundred new refinements!
• Additional nerves, arteries, and veins in the head and neck region.
• Anatomy added and refined in the thoracic, abdominal, and pelvic regions.
  • Enhanced 3D lungs now include the pleura and the option to study and dissect each lung by bronchopulmonary segment
  • Refinements to the pectoralis major, intercostals, and the cartilage that attaches the ribs to the sternum
  • Refinements to the kidneys to show more gross anatomy detail
  • New detailed microanatomy of the small intestine and villus
• New Draw and Notepad features for 3D interactive lectures and note-taking!
  • Draw in 3D space around any model while you lecture
  • Use the new notepad to label or add descriptive text to any view

2019.2 (March 20, 2019)

• We now support iPad Pro (3rd Generation) in full screen mode!
• New, fast feature to study the muscles that attach to each bone! Select the bone, and see the options to view the surface area of attachment and use pins that reveal origin and insertion details for each muscle that attaches to that bone.
• Tag structures! Use the new 3D labels feature to show the name of multiple structures on screen. Use this feature for interactive presentations or to create study cards.
• Faster search for character-based languages! For those of you using the app in Chinese or Japanese, our robust search engine now includes Pinyin and Hiragana characters.
• And, as always, bug fixes and performance enhancements.

Note: This app runs on: iOS 12.0 or later, iPhone SE, iPhone 6S or later, iPad mini 4, iPad Air 2, iPad (5th generation), and iPad Pro or later.

2019.1 (October 31, 2018)

We now support iPhone Xs Max!

• Launching Augmented Reality mode is easier than ever! Just tap the AR button that appears in the bottom left-hand corner of a view.
• Back by popular demand: Screen mirroring! Project the app on a monitor for display.
• Check out the new UI for the 3D cross sections. See 3D models next to cadaver images and CT or MRI scans.
• And, as always, bug fixes and performance enhancements.
