Once you have launched a 3D View from the Region Views, Index, or Bone Views section, you can interact with it in a number of ways. Adjust the View using the following movements:
Pan: Swipe three fingertips across the screen to pan in any direction.
Zoom In: Place the tips of your thumb and forefinger on the screen and move them apart to enlarge the structures within the View.
Zoom Out: Place the tips of your thumb and forefinger on the screen and move them together, as if you are pinching, to increase the scope of the View.
Center: To center the View on an anatomical structure, tap twice quickly, with one fingertip, on that structure.
Rotate or Tilt: Place one fingertip on the screen and slowly drag your finger in the desired direction to tilt or rotate the model. To change the axis of rotation, tap twice quickly on any area of the model; that area becomes the new axis of rotation.
Refresh View: Tap the name of the View located at the top left corner or the screen to return it to its initial state.
Background Color: Tap the black/white boxes at the top of the screen next to the Skeleton Premium logo to toggle between a white or black background for your Views.
Full Screen: Tap the arrows at the top of the screen next to the Skeleton Premium logo to enter full screen mode. Finger taps can be used to show, fade, hide, select, and rotate in full screen mode. To return to regular mode, tap the arrows again.
Select a single anatomical structure: To select an anatomical structure, tap it once. The structure is highlighted and a breadcrumb trail appears at the top of the screen, displaying information about the structure, including its name (highlighted as the last term to the right), and information about its larger group and skeletal region. Tap the Speaker icon to the right of the name to hear the pronunciation of the structure, or tap the Book icon next to the Speaker icon to view its definition.
Select multiple structures: To select multiple anatomical structures, tap the "Multiple Select" button on the left side of the screen. Multiple Select mode allows you to select as many structures as you wish by tapping each structure once. All remain highlighted, but only the most recently selected structure selected is displayed in the breadcrumb trail at the top of the screen. To deselect any selected structure, tap on it once. To return to Single Select mode, tap on the "Single Select" button on the left side of the screen.
Select an anatomical group: When any structure is selected, a breadcrumb trail appears at the top of the screen displaying information about the structure's regional group. To select any of the larger groups, tap once on the desired name in the breadcrumb trail. The associated anatomical structures are added to the model if necessary, selected, and highlighted onscreen.
Deselect structures or groups: If Multiple Select mode is on, deselect a single structure by tapping on it again, or deselect all structures by tapping the "Deselect All" button on the left side of the screen. If Single Select mode is on, tap on a background area of the screen to deselect a single structure, or tap on the selected structure itself. A second selection overrides the first selection (except in Multiple Select mode), so that only one structure at a time is highlighted.
Make structure(s) transparent: After selecting a structure, tap the "Fade" button at the left side of the screen to make it transparent. To make all the structures around a selected structure transparent, go to the Tools menu and tap the "Fade Others" button. If no structure is selected, the "Fade Others" button makes all of the structures on screen transparent.
Hide structure(s): After selecting a structure, tap the "Hide" button at the left side of the screen to make it invisible. To make all the structures around a selected structure invisible, go to the Tools menu and tap the "Hide Others" button.
Show hidden structure(s): Immediately after selecting and hiding a structure, you can restore the structure to the View by tapping the "Show" button at the top left side of the screen. If you have performed other actions after hiding a structure (and it is therefore no longer selected), you can show all faded or hidden structures in the original View (along with any others you may have added to it) by tapping the "Show All" button in the Tools menu.
Toggle between show, fade, and hide for selected structure(s): After selecting one or more structures, use two fingertips to tap once anywhere on the screen. The structures toggle from fully shown, to faded, to hidden, and back to shown with each two-fingered tap.
