Viewing, Exploring, and Studying the Show

To access an interactive presentation on the circulatory system, click Show on the Home screen. A table of contents is displayed. Clicking "Play All" in the upper left launches the presentation at the beginning and plays all chapters. You can access each chapter separately by choosing its thumbnail under Play By Chapter. When viewing the Show in "Play By Chapter" mode, an End of Section window at the end of each chapter allows you to replay the chapter, continue the presentation, or return to the chapter list.

Each chapter is followed by a Key Concepts section highlighting important points in that section. To view the Key Concepts separately, click on "Review Key Concepts" in the upper right of the table of contents screen and navigate between the slides using the Back and Next buttons in the bottom menu bar.

Interactive chapters: Chapters 1, 3, 4, 5, 7, 10, and 11 include extra interactive functionality that can be activated using the "Pause to Explore" button at the bottom of the screen. Clicking on "Pause to Explore" pauses the presentation and transforms the onscreen image into a 3D interactive model. Zoom in or out to see the model more clearly; click on structures to select and show/fade/hide, or rotate the model using the virtual joystick. You can resume the presentation from where you left off by clicking "Resume Animation" at the bottom of the screen.

Navigating the presentation: You can use the scrubber bar at the bottom of the screen to fast-forward, rewind, or jump ahead and back in each chapter. Non-interactive chapters include a Pause/Play button to the left of the scrubber that can be used to pause and resume. Access this help text at any time by selecting Help in the bottom bar, or Chapters to return to the table of contents. Clicking on Home exits the presentation and returns you to the Home screen.
