2023.5.05 (September 12, 2023)

Explore 3 new endocrine models in our latest release:

• Ovary: learn about the structures involved in each phase of the ovarian cycle.
• Pancreas: study the organ at multiple levels. Learn about pancreatic acini and study an acinar cell.
• Hypothalamus and pituitary: explore the structures that make up the visceral control center of the brain.

Human Anatomy Atlas 2023 now includes tons of new content and new ways to see deep inside the human body: More gross anatomy, microanatomy, and organ tissue models!

• Explore the layers of the heart wall
• Analyze the components of skeletal muscle
• Understand the fascia and septa that define the muscle compartments of the upper and lower limbs
• See inside the longest bone in the human body—learn the structures and blood supply of the femur
• Study the osteon, the main structural unit of compact bone
• Dig into hepatic lobules, the microscopic functional building block of the liver
• Examine enhanced gross anatomy of the male and female circulatory system

• New, fast feature to study the muscles that attach to each bone! Select the bone, and see the options to view the surface area of attachment and use pins that reveal origin and insertion details for each muscle that attaches to that bone.
• Tag structures! Use the new 3D labels feature to show the name of multiple structures on screen. Use this feature for interactive presentations or to create study cards.
• Faster search for character-based languages! For those of you using the app in Chinese or Japanese, our robust search engine now includes Pinyin and Hiragana characters.
• And, as always, bug fixes and performance enhancements.

2019.1 (November 13, 2018)

• Launching Augmented Reality mode is easier than ever! Just tap the AR button that appears in the bottom left-hand corner of a view.

NEW! Augmented Reality for mobile devices! Turn any room into an anatomy lab. The Augmented Reality (AR) features for Android REQUIRE: Android 7 (Nougat) and a Google Pixel phone or certain Samsung Galaxy S7, S8, and Note8 models. Even more content added to our enormous 3D anatomy database:

• Tons of new gross anatomy, including enhanced male and female skin models, revised hand anatomy, refined female genitalia, more hip circulation, and new sagittal and coronal views of the skull.
• New microanatomy, including a cross section of a long bone, an osteon, blood vessels, a nephron, a simplified nephron, alveoli, and alveolar sacs.
• New 3D Gross Anatomy Lab! Dissect a virtual cadaver in the prone or supine position.
• New in-app purchase: 3D Dental Anatomy! Includes cusps, fossae, and surfaces, and cross-sectional views of an incisor, canine, premolar, double root molar, and triple root molar. Plus, an interactive, animated model of the upper and lower arches.
